SUZUKI'S TT CENTENARY GSX-R TRIO BREAKS COVER
Mar 2007
Suzuki GB has announced the final specification for its Isle of Man Centenary Special Edition GSX-R range. The limited edition models have been produced under an exclusive licence from the Isle of Man government to celebrate 100 years of racing at the famous TT circuit.
The GSX-R1000, 750 and 600 variations are offered in unique colour options and each bike will be individually numbered and certificated. The identifying number is located with the Isle of Man TT logo on the top yoke plate.
The bikes also display a specially-designed graphics kit featuring the TT logo intertwined with the bikes’ original graphics on both side of the fairing and on the rear seat cowling.
The GSX-R1000’s special colour scheme is a combination of Marble Erakis Red and Metallic Mistic Silver and it will also feature the stunning and highly-anticipated Yoshimura GP Evo twin exhausts (RRP £1400), as well as a tinted screen. Only 150 units will be made available at a special RRP of £9,949.
Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue and Solid Black is the colour combination for the Special Edition GSX-R750, which also features a black, double-bubble screen. At £8,199 RRP, just 200 units of the 750 option will be produced.

Our initial reaction on first seeing the GSR was -
WOW!
From the faired-in indicators to the super stiff swingarm,
this bike oozes quality.
Exhausts are neatly hidden under the seat, and connect
to the famous GSX-R600 engine, which as you would expect
delivers seamless performance on tap.
Practicality has not been ignored, with a seat height

GSX-R1000 IS MCN MACHINE OF
THE YEAR
The annual MCN Awards ceremony, hosted at the Motorcycle
Museum, Birmingham on Thursday 27 October, saw Suzukis
GSX-R1000 beating off some stiff competition to collect
the coveted Machine of the Year and best Sports Bikes
over 699cc titles.
Nine machines were short listed for the Machine of
the Year Award including the Kawasaki ZX-6R, Honda CBF500
and Triumph Rocket 3, but it was the Suzuki GSX-R1000
that most impressed the judges.
MCN editor Marc Potter explained: It dominates
the showrooms, it dominates the racetrack, and it dominates
its riders.
You know you are riding something truly special
when you swing a leg over the Gixxer. It offers the
kind of performance that sums up everything motorcycling
has ever been about exciting, scary, and fun.
And in a market where an extra couple of per
cent makes all the difference, the GSX-R really took
a quantum leap forward this year
The Sports Bikes over 699cc category is the one
they all want to win claimed MCN. Machines short
listed included the Honda Fireblade, Yamaha R1, Kawasaki
ZX-10R and Ducati 999.
Again, the Suzuki GSX-R1000 was the clear winner for
its outstanding performance both on the road, on the
racing tarmac and in dealer showrooms.
